Holiday Inn Express

My wife bought us a week in Gran Canaria, flying from Stansted. Didn't want to bother with shuttles and car parking, so booked 1 night in Holiday Inn with 8 nights parking. Booking extremely easy with both hotel and parking booked at same time. Hotel perfectly located for Stansted airport. Parking right next to hotel. Receptionist polite and helpful, explaining all the key features of the hotel, etc. Room very clean and, most importantly, quiet. Good nights sleep ready for early start and flight to the Canary Islands. Breakfast is self service, with cooked food available from 6am. There are gluten free options, although you have to ask for the bread. Well cooked and tasty. There is a bar and small games area inside, too, with a pool table and video games. There is some work going on, but this won't interfere with your stay. The Meet and Greet car park well signed and there are staff on hand to guide you through the process. The reception is located just outside the terminal, but only a couple of minutes from departures. Car left and receipt and exit ticket provided. On return, there is a bit of a hike to reception, as it is not close to arrivals. Fast, efficient service, showing you exactly where your car has been parked. No damage and all in all, well done. Would use again.
